The [Centers for Disease Control and Infection (CDC](https://emergency.cdc.gov/han/2021/han00451.asp)) and [the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)](https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/5-things-know-about-delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol-delta-8-thc) have issued public health warnings about Delta-8 Tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta 8-THC). These notices offer important information about Delta-8 THC and its potential to create psychoactive effects. In addition, there have been adverse events reported to both the CDC and FDA by persons, including accidental exposure to Delta-8 THC. If you are a consumer or patient using CBD or other hemp-derived products, read the ingredient list, or better yet, ask your dispensary to view the Certificate of Analysis produced by the laboratory that tested the product. This is an excellent way to get yourself educated.
