On April 12, 2021, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham signed a law (HB 12) to legalize adult cannabis use in New Mexico. The new law establishes a Cannabis Control Division (CCD) within the Regulation and Licensing Department, which will administer the licensing and regulatory program for cannabis, including testing laboratories.
