The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) recently published a notice defining a standard THC unit as any formulation of cannabis plant material or extract that contains 5 milligrams of THC.  According to the group working on this effort, adopting a standard unit facilitates a comparison of findings across several studies, which is so important to understand the adverse effects of cannabis exposure as well as its medical benefits.  Read more here.
